Mission
Inspiring Others Mentorying Program is a non-profit organization for young girls between the ages of 12 - 18 years of age. We provide useful information and resources to help build confidence and self-esteem, by providing guidance and by fostering support.
Guidelines
· Involvement in service is voluntary
· Youth will have the opportunity to consent at every stage of the process
· Guardian participation
Purpose
· Increased self-esteem, confidence, cultural pride and ethnic identity
· Increased knowledge of self-definition, sexually transmitted diseases, puberty and anatomy, abstinence, family planning
· Greater social skill development and awareness of self in relation to others
· Greater knowledge and skill sewing, cooking and budgeting
· Increased access to family planning resources
· Critical thinking of media images
· Increased leadership skills
· Increased awareness of work and career options
· Increased awareness of sisterhood and womanhood
· Increased knowledge of healthy relationships
· Increased knowledge of positive life options
